Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain has named a stand in honour of Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine. The Bravo-Pollard-Narine Stand was unveiled on 31 August 2026, which was Trinidad and Tobago’s 64th Independence Day.
Joining a list of tributes
The new name adds to the ground’s existing tributes, which include facilities named after Brian Lara, Deryck Murray, Jeffrey Stollmeyer, Learie Constantine, Gerry Gomez and Cyril L. Duprey.
The honour comes during the 2026 Caribbean Premier League. Pollard and Narine are playing for Trinbago Knight Riders, and Bravo has returned to the franchise as a coach. Two days before the unveiling, Trinbago retired Bravo’s No. 47 shirt during their CPL match against Jamaica Kingsmen at the Oval.
T20 records
Pollard has played more than 750 T20 matches, scoring almost 15,000 runs and taking more than 340 wickets.
Bravo ended his career with 631 T20 wickets, the most by any male player at the time of his retirement, and close to 7,000 runs as a genuine all-rounder.
Narine is one of the most successful T20 spinners. He became only the second bowler to pass 650 wickets in the format and remains the leading wicket-taker in CPL history.
A local legacy
All three are Trinidadians who came through the local system before playing for the West Indies and becoming influential figures in franchise cricket worldwide.
The Oval’s named facilities celebrate figures from across West Indies cricket history, and this latest tribute recognises three modern T20 icons. Unveiling it on Independence Day recognised both their cricketing achievements and their contribution to the nation’s sporting identity.
