Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Kingsmen play the 20th match of CPL 2026 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, with a 7:00 pm local start on Saturday.
Trinbago’s probable XI has captain and wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran, Colin Munro, Matthew Breetzke, Kieron Pollard, Jyd Goolie and Matthew Tromp in the batting group. Sunil Narine, Akeal Hosein, Abdul Raheem Toppin, Usman Tariq and Dominic Drakes make up the attack.
Jamaica are led by Rovman Powell and have Usman Khan as wicketkeeper. Their XI includes Maaz Sadaqat, Kirk McKenzie, Saim Ayub and Keacy Carty at the top, with Keemo Paul, Odean Smith, Vitel Lawes, Jediah Blades and Hunain Shah providing the bowling. The squad also lists Andre Russell and Reeza Hendricks.
We expect around 40–45 runs in the powerplay, with spin becoming more effective as the surface slows. Dew may arrive later and make chasing easier, so the toss winner could prefer to bowl. Our preview picks Jamaica in what looks a tight contest.
The Brian Lara Stadium typically offers a balanced but slightly tricky surface. The new ball can bring pace and bounce, then the pitch may slow and favour spinners and slower variations. Batters who stay in can score, but variable bounce can make strokeplay harder. Dew in the evening could make the ball skid on and help the chasing team. A par score is around 158–160, and 170 or more is a strong total.
On Saturday evening the conditions are expected to be warm and humid, with temperatures of 27–29°C and partly to mostly cloudy skies. The chance of rain at the start looks low, though a passing shower is possible. Humidity should stay high, and dew could develop as the match goes on.
Our preview narrowly favours Jamaica Kingsmen.
Around 158–160 is competitive, and 170-plus puts significant pressure on the chasing team.
We expect roughly 40–45 runs in the powerplay.
