Barbados Tridents vs Jamaica Kingsmen Prediction & Match Preview – CPL 34th Match

Barbados Tridents host Jamaica Kingsmen in the 34th match of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown on Saturday 12 September.

The Tridents are led by Chris Green, with Quinton de Kock keeping wicket and Brandon King, Zachary Carter and Sherfane Rutherford expected in the top order. Their bowling is likely to rely on Daniel Sams, Gudakesh Motie, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Jakeem Pollard.

Jamaica are captained by Rovman Powell, with Usman Khan behind the stumps. Maaz Sadaqat, Kirk McKenzie and Keacy Carty form the front of the batting order, and Keemo Paul, Odean Smith, Vitel Lawes, Jediah Blades and Hunain Shah give them bowling depth. Their wider squad also includes Saim Ayub, Reeza Hendricks and Andre Russell.

Powerplay scoring matters for both teams, and a total of 170 or more should be competitive. A strong finish could take the first innings towards 175. Spinners could have an impact in the middle overs, and the pitch may slow slightly as the game progresses.

Probable playing XI

Pitch report

Kensington Oval normally offers a balanced strip with a small early advantage for pace. The new ball can swing or seam and bounce in the powerplay, then batters can score freely once set. The surface tends to slow, so spinners can be useful in the middle overs. A first-innings score of 160–175 is competitive and anything above 175 is strong. Dew later on can help the ball skid on and assist the chasing side.

Weather

The evening is expected to be warm, humid and breezy with partly cloudy skies and a chance of passing showers or a thunderstorm. Temperatures should be around 29°C. A short spell of rain could cause a brief stoppage, but if showers stay quick, conditions should be manageable.

Expected scores

• 1st innings: 165–175
• 2nd innings: 155–165
