Babar Azam has named his World ODI XI, and the omission of every Indian player, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli among them, has drawn attention.
The team
Asked to pick his best side during a video session, Babar chose Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head as openers, with Aiden Markram at three and his Pakistan team-mate Mohammad Rizwan at four. The middle order has Rachin Ravindra and England’s Harry Brook, while Mitchell Santner and Rashid Khan make up the spin options.
The pace attack is Jofra Archer, Shaheen Afridi and Kagiso Rabada. Babar jokingly named himself 12th man.
