Babar Azam Back in Test Top 10 as Three Pakistanis Gain in ICC Rankings

Babar Azam has returned to the top 10 of the ICC Test batting rankings, moving up five places to No. 10. The jump follows Pakistan’s eight-wicket win over the West Indies in the second Test, in which Babar made 88 in the first innings and finished unbeaten on 24 as the target was chased down.

Shafique and Sajid also climb

Abdullah Shafique gained the most among Pakistan’s batters. Recalled to the side, he hit an unbeaten 160 in the first innings and rose 25 places to 32nd in the Test batting list.

Spinner Sajid Khan also advanced after a strong bowling display. He went up five places to 30th among Test bowlers and by the same margin to 32nd in the all-rounder table.

Leaders unchanged

At the head of the tables, Australia’s Travis Head remains the top Test batter. India’s Jasprit Bumrah is still the No. 1 bowler, and Ravindra Jadeja keeps the leading spot among all-rounders.

ODI movements

There was movement in the ODI rankings too. Afghanistan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz gained three places to reach 11th, and Hashmatullah Shahidi rose four spots to 50th. Rashid Khan extended his lead at the top of the ODI bowling list, while Ireland’s Mark Adair came back into the rankings at No. 17.
