Charani Hits 802 Rating Points as India Stars Rise in ICC T20I Rankings

Shree Charani has climbed to a career-best 802 rating points in the ICC women’s T20I bowling rankings after an outstanding Asia Cup, and several Indian team-mates have also moved up.

Charani near the top

Charani was the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 12, including four in the final against Sri Lanka, which India won by 72 runs. She is now level on 802 points with England’s Sophie Ecclestone, just behind Australia’s Megan Schutt, who leads on 806.

Deepti’s jump

Deepti Sharma has risen four places to second among bowlers. She took 14 wickets at the Asia Cup, including 3 for 19 in the final.

Shafali moves up

Shafali Verma has gone up one place to sixth in the batting rankings after scoring 236 runs at an average of 47.20 in the tournament. She has also climbed five places to 15th among all-rounders.

India’s dominant campaign has therefore brought gains in the batting, bowling and all-rounder lists, and highlights the side’s strength in women’s T20I cricket.

The updated list reflects how strongly India’s squad performed across the tournament, with several players gaining ground at once.
