Bangladesh have announced a 15-player squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, with Nigar Sultana Joty continuing as captain.
The squad
The group blends established names with newer faces. Rabeya Khan, Sultana Khatun, Dilara Akter, Shorna Akter and Marufa Akter are among the key members, while Sobhana Mostary, Fahima Khatun and Sharmin Akter Supta keep their places as experienced campaigners. Juairiya Ferdous, Taj Nehar, Shanjida Akther Maghla and Fariha Islam Trisna are the younger options.

Context and group
It will be Bangladesh’s seventh appearance at the tournament. They have not yet reached a final, but arrive in good heart after winning the Global Qualifier without losing a match. They are in Group 1 alongside the Netherlands, Australia, Pakistan, India and South Africa.
