NewsRCB Coach Andy Flower Fined 15% of Match Fee After Raipur Row
Andy Flower has been fined 15% of his match fee for a Level 1 breach after a heated exchange with the fourth umpire during RCB’s win over Mumbai Indians.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians play the 54th match of IPL 2026 in Raipur, with a standard evening start under lights.
RCB’s likely XI has Virat Kohli, Jacob Bethell and Devdutt Padikkal at the top, Rajat Patidar as captain, and Jitesh Sharma, Tim David and Romario Shepherd for power in the middle. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma lead the attack, with Krunal Pandya adding balance.
Mumbai are expected to open with Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks, followed by Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Naman Dhir and captain Hardik Pandya. Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, AM Ghazanfar and Ashwani Kumar form the bowling unit. Cutters and slower balls could be effective in the middle overs, and big hitters may target the shorter straight boundaries.
The Raipur surface is usually a fair contest. A fresh pitch lets batters attack in the powerplay, and as the dry surface wears, spinners and change-of-pace bowlers come into play. The outfield is quick and the straight boundaries shorter, but the square boundaries are larger. Under lights the pitch can slow down, making chases trickier if early wickets fall.
On 10 May at 7:30 pm in Raipur it should be warm and dry, with temperatures of 31–33°C at the start, dropping later. Humidity is moderate and rain is very unlikely. A light breeze may help bowlers slightly, and some dew could appear in the second innings.
Our preview picks Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
At the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, starting at 7:30 pm local time on 10 May 2026.
It could be a minor factor in the second innings, so teams winning the toss may prefer to bowl first.
