Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: Australia Win Final as Prize Money and Awards Confirmed

Australia won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 by beating England in the final, with Beth Mooney named Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament.

The final

England batted first and lost both openers cheaply. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt rebuilt with an unbeaten 58 from 53 balls and Alice Capsey added 23. Freya Kemp then hit a rapid unbeaten 44 from 28 balls, taking England to 150/4.

Mooney anchored Australia’s reply with 64 from 49 balls, and Phoebe Litchfield supported her with a fluent 48 from 35. Their partnership put Australia in control. Lauren Bell, Sophie Ecclestone and Charlotte Dean took a wicket each for England, but Australia reached 153/3 in 17.1 overs, winning with 17 balls to spare. Ellyse Perry was unbeaten on 13, with Ashleigh Gardner at the other end at the finish.

Mooney also won the tournament award after 238 runs in seven matches, at an average of 47.60 and a strike rate of 142.51.
