Pratika Rawal Signs for Warwickshire Bears in the 2026 One-Day Cup

Warwickshire Bears have signed India batter Pratika Rawal for the rest of their 2026 One-Day Cup campaign.

A rapid rise since 2024

Rawal has become one of India’s most promising batters since debuting internationally in 2024. In 26 List A matches she has scored 1,189 runs at an average of 47.56, underlining her consistency in 50-over cricket.

She starred at the 2025 ICC Women’s World Cup, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer with 308. Her century against New Zealand in a must-win group game was central to India’s progress, although an ankle injury stopped her playing in the knockout stage. Earlier this year she began her Test career with a composed half-century against Australia.

Back from injury

Rawal returns to competitive action after an injury suffered during India A’s one-day series against England A in Taunton on July 1. It forced her to miss India’s recent Test at Lord’s.

What the club and player said

Warwickshire head coach Ali Maiden said the club is delighted to have a player of her quality. With the Bears well placed in the One-Day Cup table, he said, her arrival is a significant boost as they aim to finish strongly.

Rawal called the move a fantastic opportunity. She said she is looking forward to helping the team win, challenging herself in English conditions and fulfilling a dream of playing at Edgbaston.
