Australia Women will go into their ODI series against Bangladesh without captain Sophie Molineux and Hamilton, with Tahlia McGrath named to lead the side in Brisbane.
Two injury absences
Molineux has not fully recovered from a hip problem picked up after her time in The Hundred. National selector Shawn Flegler said the injury is improving but the timeline is too short for the Bangladesh matches. She is expected to stay with the squad and may be available for the T20I series against New Zealand later in October.
Hamilton will also sit out the ODIs after a minor quad strain suffered in training. She too is expected to be fit for the New Zealand T20Is.
Darcie Brown is unavailable because of a back injury, and Grace Harris has not been picked for either series. That leaves Australia with 12 players to choose from for the Bangladesh games.
Fixtures
The three ODIs will be played in Brisbane between October 9 and 14. The T20I series against New Zealand follows in Sydney from October 18 to 22. If Molineux is still not available for that series, vice-captain Ashleigh Gardner is expected to take charge.
