Peshawar Zalmi vs Rawalpindi Prediction & Match Preview – PSL 2026, 3rd Match

Peshawar Zalmi open their PSL 2026 campaign against Rawalpindi at their home ground, the Arbab Niaz Stadium, in the third match of the season.

Rawalpindi’s squad features Mohammad Rizwan, Sam Billings, Zaman Khan, Naseem Shah, Rishad Hossain, Daryl Mitchell, Mohammad Amir, Laurie Evans and Kamran Ghulam among others.

Pacers should look to attack early and use any swing or seam movement, while spinners could dominate the middle overs, so batters will need to rotate the strike. A captain winning the toss may prefer to bat first to put pressure on the chasing side.

Pitch report

The Arbab Niaz Stadium pitch is generally balanced, with something for both batters and bowlers. Pacers can find movement and bounce early, especially in the morning or under cloud, while the surface remains true enough for strokeplay. Spinners tend to come into the game in the middle overs. Batting first is often slightly advantageous, though dew can make chasing easier in evening games, and par scores in T20s are around 160–180.

Weather

Peshawar on 28 March is expected to be pleasant around the 2:30 pm local start, with temperatures of 24–26°C. Skies should be partly cloudy to mostly sunny, with light breezes and moderate humidity. Scattered showers are possible in March, but the chance of significant rain is low.

Expected scores

• 1st innings: 165–180
• 2nd innings: 160–175
