The 2026 Women’s T20 Asia Cup will begin in Dubai on August 28, with eight teams split into two groups and a final set for September 13.
Groups and format
Group A contains India, Pakistan, Hong Kong China and Thailand. Group B has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia and the UAE. Each team plays the other three in its group in a round-robin, and the top two from each group advance to the semi-finals. The opening match is Hong Kong China against Thailand in Group A.
Key fixtures
India and Pakistan share a group, and their meeting on September 5 is one of the main attractions. In Group B, Sri Lanka play Bangladesh on September 6.
Past winners
Sri Lanka are the defending champions after winning in 2024. India are the most successful side, with titles in 2012, 2016 and 2022, while Bangladesh won their first title in 2018.
Knockouts
The first semi-final is on September 10, pairing the Group A winners with the Group B runners-up. The second is on September 11, with the Group B winners facing the Group A runners-up. Because India and Pakistan are in the same group, they cannot meet in the semi-finals, so a second clash between them could come only in the final. That match takes place on September 13 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, ending a 17-day tournament.
