Mustafizur Cleared for Entire Hundred 2026 as Bangladesh Players Head Overseas

Mustafizur Rahman will be able to play the whole of The Hundred 2026 after the Bangladesh Cricket Board issued him a no-objection certificate covering July 20 to August 20. The tournament starts on July 21.

Birmingham Phoenix picked the experienced seamer in the player draft at his base price of GBP 100,000. At 30, he has already played in the IPL, PSL, BPL, CPL and Major League Cricket, and the deal makes him the first Bangladeshi to win a contract in The Hundred.

Emon bound for the Global Super League

Opener Parvez Hossain Emon has also received an NOC, to play in the 2026 Global Super League. He will leave once Bangladesh finish their three-match T20I series in Bulawayo against Zimbabwe, due on July 15, 17 and 19.

The left-hander has signed with Lahore Qalandars, whom he has represented in the Pakistan Super League. The competition begins later this month, so he can go straight from international duty into franchise cricket.

Hasan Mahmud stays at Kent

Fast bowler Hasan Mahmud will continue his time with Kent Spitfires in England. Kent have confirmed he will be available for their last three Vitality Blast group matches.

He has made a strong start to the county stint, taking 12 wickets in two County Championship games. His best effort came against Lancashire at Blackpool, where figures of 6 for 69 helped Kent to victory.

After the Blast, Hasan is expected to link up with Bangladesh for the two-Test series against Australia later in August. Subject to selection, he will then return to Kent for four more Championship matches.
