Ravindra Jadeja has become the first Indian to play 50 matches in the World Test Championship, reaching the mark in the second Test against Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. No other Indian has appeared in as many WTC games since the competition began.
At 37, Jadeja is one of India’s most dependable Test all-rounders, and the milestone reflects his longevity across several WTC cycles.

Colombo Test: toss and team news
India went into the match leading 1–0 after winning the opening Test in Galle by 165 runs. Captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bat.
India made one change, with Saransh Jain handed his Test debut after Kuldeep Yadav was ruled out with an infection. Jadeja presented Jain with his cap in the team huddle before play.
