Australia’s National Selection Panel has named white-ball squads for upcoming tours of Pakistan and Bangladesh, including several new and returning players.
Tour schedule
Australia open with a three-match ODI series against Pakistan, in Rawalpindi on May 30 and Lahore on June 2 and 4. They then travel to Bangladesh for three ODIs in Dhaka on June 9, 11 and 14, followed by three T20Is in Chattogram on June 17, 19 and 21.
Fresh faces and returns
Liam Scott and Ollie Peake have earned their first national call-ups. Joel Davies joins the T20I group after a strong Big Bash League season.
Fast bowlers Billy Stanlake and Riley Meredith return for the Pakistan ODIs, and spinner Tanveer Sangha is named in both ODI squads. Meredith also stays available for the Bangladesh T20I series.
Several IPL-contracted players, namely Travis Head, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis and Xavier Bartlett, join the squad for the Bangladesh ODIs, replacing a few names.
Selectors said the choices are about building depth and giving players exposure to subcontinent conditions, as part of long-term preparation for coming ICC events.
