Selector’s view
Chair of Selectors George Bailey welcomed back the experienced trio and praised the commitment they showed during rehabilitation. He confirmed that although the touring party numbers 13, other squad members remain on standby if they are needed before the series.
Bailey also said Australia’s busy international calendar over the next year should open up further opportunities for players in all three formats, pointing to the depth of talent available to the national side.
