Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi Prediction & Preview – PSL 2026

Karachi Kings take on Peshawar Zalmi in the 17th match of the 2026 Pakistan Super League at the National Stadium in Karachi on 9 April, an evening fixture under lights.

Karachi’s squad features David Warner, Moeen Ali, Salman Agha, Khushdil Shah, Azam Khan and Muhammad Waseem in the batting, with Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, Mir Hamza and Adam Zampa leading the attack.

Peshawar are led by Babar Azam and also have Kusal Mendis, Mohammad Haris, Aaron Hardie, Michael Bracewell and James Vince. Aamer Jamal, Shoriful Islam, Nahid Rana and Sufiyan Muqeem form much of the bowling.

A fast outfield and a surface that stays true for batting suggest another high-scoring game, and the toss could prove valuable if dew arrives. Our pick is Karachi Kings.

Pitch report

The National Stadium surface is generally a balanced one for batting, with good bounce and a quick outfield that lets even well-placed shots find the rope. Seamers can get slight swing early on under lights. The pitch tends to stay stable, allowing teams to accelerate in the middle and death overs, and spinners can matter if it slows. Dew is likely later in the night, making the ball harder to hold and favouring the chasing team.

Weather

Karachi is forecast to be warm and clear around 7:00 pm on 9 April, with temperatures dropping to roughly 29–31°C after a hot day. The chance of rain is very low, humidity moderate and a light breeze is possible. Some dew may appear later in the night.

Expected scores

• 1st innings: 170–190
• 2nd innings: 165–185
