NewsQueen’s Park Oval Names Stand After Bravo, Pollard and Narine
Queen’s Park Oval unveiled the Bravo-Pollard-Narine Stand on Trinidad and Tobago’s 64th Independence Day, honouring three T20 stars during the 2026 CPL.
Barbados Tridents host Trinbago Knight Riders at Kensington Oval in the 27th match of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League. Barbados, captained by Chris Green, rely on Quinton de Kock, Brandon King, Zachary Carter and Sherfane Rutherford with the bat, and on Gudakesh Motie, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Daniel Sams with the ball.
Trinbago have a familiar core: Colin Munro, Alex Hales and Sunil Narine at the top, Nicholas Pooran as captain and wicketkeeper, and Kieron Pollard and Matthew Tromp in the middle order. Akeal Hosein, Abdul Raheem Toppin and Usman Tariq lead the bowling, with depth available from Matthew Breetzke, Justin Greaves and Joshua Da Silva.
Powerplay seam movement and bounce could matter, and spin may take over once the pitch slows. Batting first would be useful if conditions stay true, though dew late in the evening might push the toss winner to chase.
Kensington Oval normally gives a balanced surface with a slight edge for the quicks early. The new ball can seam and bounce in the powerplay, and batters score freely once they are in. The pitch may slow a little in the middle overs, which brings spin into play. A first-innings total of 160–175 is competitive and more than 175 is strong. Evening dew could make the ball skid on and help the chase.
Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, with an 8:00 pm local start (12:00 am GMT).
Our preview picks Trinbago Knight Riders, while Barbados Tridents are expected to win the toss.
A score of around 170 gives the side batting first a good chance, and 180-plus would be a strong advantage.
