Bangladesh’s victory over New Zealand in Mirpur has brought sizeable gains in the latest ODI rankings, with several players from the winning side climbing the lists.
Bangladesh batters rise
Opener Tanzid Hasan anchored the chase with a composed 76 and jumped 14 places to 40th among ODI batters. Towhid Hridoy, whose unbeaten 30 helped see Bangladesh home, gained five places and now shares 26th. At the top, Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand kept first position even though he missed the series.
Bowlers also advance
Among the bowlers, spinner Rishad Hossain went up 10 places to joint 58th after contributing to the collective effort that dismantled the visitors. Pacer Nahid Rana made the biggest leap, rising 32 spots to 64th after an impressive display in Mirpur. Left-arm seamer Shoriful Islam re-entered the rankings at 39th on the back of steady performances through the series.
T20I changes after Scotland v Namibia
The T20I lists were also refreshed after Scotland won their series against Namibia 2-1. Scotland opener George Munsey rose seven places to joint 21st following a century in the final match. His team-mate Mark Watt moved up to 47th among T20I bowlers.
Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus improved in both the batting and all-rounder rankings. He scored 145 runs across the series and also contributed strongly with the ball and in the field of all-round play.
