Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has described his Wimbledon 2026 trip as a memorable one, thanks largely to time spent with Yuvraj Singh. The young batter attended in a black blazer, white shirt, striped tie and sunglasses.
Learning from an idol
Speaking to Star Sports, Sooryavanshi called Yuvraj his idol and said meeting him for the first time felt special. They talked at length, he said, and Yuvraj explained many things to him. He is learning a great deal and believes the lessons will help him in future.
He added that spending time with one of Indian cricket’s greatest match-winners at Wimbledon made the experience even more unforgettable.
A last-minute outfit
Sooryavanshi said he had planned nothing for his look and it all came together at the last moment. He asked Abhishek Sharma to help find whatever was available and simply wore it, crediting Abhishek with helping him get ready in time.
The final
On court, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner beat Alexander Zverev 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4 in the final to retain his men’s singles title, winning Wimbledon for a second year in a row.
