Sciver-Brunt Wants England to Turn the Page with a T20 World Cup Title

Nat Sciver-Brunt has made clear that England want to use the T20 World Cup to change the story of their recent years and build a more dependable winning habit.

Speaking before the tournament, she said the squad is driven to improve its record and to create a culture in which strong results become the norm rather than the exception.

A chance to shape the sport at home

Sciver-Brunt believes a World Cup triumph would carry real weight for women’s cricket in England. She described it as a possible turning point for the growth and popularity of the game in the country.

She acknowledged that England have found it hard to repeat the success of 2017. The aim now, she explained, is to become a consistently strong team, and winning the T20 World Cup would open a fresh chapter.

Group and opening fixture

England have been drawn in Group B. Their group rivals are defending champions New Zealand Women, West Indies Women, Sri Lanka Women, Ireland Women and Scotland Women.

Their campaign starts on June 12 against Sri Lanka.
