Rahmanullah Gurbaz collected the Shpageeza Cricket League 2026 Orange Cap from his father in a touching scene. After Mis Ainak Nights played their final game against Band-e-Amir Dragons, the father presented the cap and the pair embraced, a moment shared in a video by the Afghanistan Cricket Board on X.
A record of dominance
Gurbaz finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 410 runs in eight matches, averaging 68.33 at a strike rate of 244.04. The 24-year-old hit two centuries and two fifties.
His best was an unbeaten 107 from 39 balls against Amo Sharks, with six fours and 11 sixes. He followed it with 102 from 41 balls against the Dragons, helping Mis Ainak Nights win by 85 runs.
Team misses out
Even so, Mis Ainak Nights did not reach the final. They ended third in the points table with four wins and three defeats from eight matches.
The final
The final is due on Wednesday, 15 July between Speen Ghar Tigers and the Sharks. The Sharks, winners in 2024 and 2025, are chasing a third title in a row.
