Adelaide Strikers vs Brisbane Heat Women Prediction & Preview – WBBL 2025, 30th Match
Adelaide Strikers Women host Brisbane Heat Women at Karen Rolton Oval in the 30th match of the Women’s Big Bash League 2025. Tahlia McGrath’s Strikers had a narrow escape last time out against the Sydney Thunder Women: rain reduced the game and gave them a shared point when the Thunder needed just three runs off 13 balls. Earlier this season they beat the Heat, and they will hope to repeat that.
The Strikers have power at the top in Laura Wolvaardt and Tammy Beaumont, with McGrath anchoring the middle overs alongside Madeline Penna and Bridget Patterson, and Ellie Johnston and Amanda-Jade Wellington offering late hitting. Sophie Ecclestone and Darcie Brown are expected to take early wickets, while Jemma Barsby and Tabatha Saville tighten things in the middle.
Jess Jonassen’s Heat are out of playoff contention and have yet to record a win, sharing points with the Sydney Sixers Women in their most recent match thanks to rain. Lauren Winfield-Hill and Charli Knott need to give them better starts, with Jonassen, Chinelle Henry and Georgia Redmayne in the middle order and Nadine de Klerk and Mikayla Wrigley finishing. Early wickets from Lucy Hamilton and Knott, plus support from Nicola Hancock and Sianna Ginger, will be vital if Brisbane are to bring pride back to their season.
