England have named 16-player squads for their white-ball tour of Australia, with Harry Brook captaining both the one-day international and Twenty20 sides. The tour opens with the first ODI in Perth on 13 November and finishes with the fifth T20I in Canberra on 2 December, before England return in March for a one-off day-night Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The ODI squad
The 50-over group is Harry Brook (captain), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Sonny Baker, Tom Banton, Jacob Bethell, Jordan Cox (wicketkeeper), Henry Crocombe, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Joe Root and Josh Tongue.
The T20I squad
For the five Twenty20 internationals England keep ten of those players and bring in six others: James Coles, Aneurin Donald, Eddie Jack, Thomas Rew, Phil Salt and Luke Wood. Archer, Atkinson and Tongue are among those who drop out, and coverage cited on the series page described the three fast bowlers as rested for the shorter format. Baker, Duckett and Root are also absent from the T20I group; the sources we checked give no reason for those omissions.
The schedule
The three ODIs are in Perth (13 November, 11:30 local time), Adelaide (15 November, 14:00) and Hobart (18 November, 14:30), all day-night matches. The T20Is follow in Melbourne (21 November), the Gold Coast (24 November), Brisbane (27 November), Sydney (29 November) and Canberra (2 December).
The Test in March
The tour also includes a single day-night Test at the MCG from 11 to 15 March 2027, part of the celebrations of 150 years of Test cricket. The Test squad has not been announced. Australia’s squads were not confirmed in the sources we consulted, and this report should be updated once they are.
