Pretoria Capitals meet Sunrisers Eastern Cape at SuperSport Park in the 14th match of SA20 2025-26. The Capitals lost their first two games before answering emphatically with an 85-run win over MI Cape Town, but their following match against Durban’s Super Giants was abandoned, so they arrive desperate for a second win of the campaign.
Sunrisers began with back-to-back victories and were then narrowly beaten by Paarl Royals in a thrilling third match. A rain washout in the next fixture leaves them third in the standings, and they will be keen to move higher.
The Sunrisers’ lineup has plenty of firepower, with Jonny Bairstow, Quinton de Kock, Matthew Breetzke and captain Tristan Stubbs up the order, backed by Marco Jansen, Anrich Nortje and Adam Milne in the bowling. The Capitals can call on Dewald Brevis, Sherfane Rutherford and Connor Esterhuizen with the bat, and Keshav Maharaj, Tymal Mills and Lungi Ngidi with the ball. Centurion usually favours aggressive batting early, so a total above 180 would put real pressure on the chasing team.
