Two early front-runners meet at Sylhet as the BPL 2025-26 table-toppers Chattogram Royals face second-placed Rangpur Riders. The Royals have won three of their first four games, including two comprehensive victories in a row, and that momentum could matter.
Mohammad Naim has set the tone at the top, Mahmudul Hasan Joy has brought balance, and Adam Rossington has managed the tempo well in his supporting role. Shoriful Islam has six wickets at an economy of 5.93, and Mahedi Hasan and Tanvir Islam also have six each, giving the Royals plenty of spin depth.
Rangpur have three wins and one narrow loss. Their runs have come from different parts of the order: Dawid Malan has 166 runs in four matches including two fifties, Litton Das has 104 at a strike rate of 143, and Towhid Hridoy has added 60. Mahmudullah and Khushdil Shah give the middle order experience and flexibility. Mustafizur Rahman, regarded as one of the best death bowlers in the format, leads a bowling unit that also includes Aliss Al Islam’s off-spin and Rakibul Hasan.
