Sylhet Titans and Chattogram Royals meet in the seventh match of the 2025-26 Bangladesh Premier League, and neither side has settled into a rhythm yet. Both have played two games and both have shown strengths and flaws.
Sylhet began by posting 190, only to lose after their bowlers conceded 192. They then recovered with a tense chase of 144 that ended in a close finish. The batting looks deep, with names such as Saim Ayub, captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nasum Ahmed and Mohammad Amir in the squad, but the bowling needs more consistency, especially in the middle overs.
Chattogram opened with a convincing 65-run win built on solid batting and disciplined bowling, then were bowled out for 102 in their second game. Mahedi Hasan, Mohammad Naim, Shoriful Islam and Tanvir Islam are among the players they will lean on. If the top order delivers, their bowling can control the game and put Sylhet under pressure.
Afternoon conditions limit the dew effect, so the contest should be fairly even for both sides. The team that makes the better use of the powerplay is likely to gain the upper hand.
