Galle Marvels and Jaffna Kings meet at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Thursday 23 July in the tenth match of the Lanka Premier League 2026. Both teams have strong batting units, and conditions point towards a high-scoring evening.
Galle’s probable XI is led by Dasun Shanaka and includes Sam Harper, Chamika Karunaratne, Charith Asalanka and Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the batting order. Mohammad Nawaz and Dinura Kalupahana provide spin, and Akif Javed, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Eshan Malinga make up the rest of the attack.
Jaffna Kings are expected to be captained by Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Avishka Fernando and Kamil Mishara are likely to open, and David Wiese, Dunith Wellalage and Shakib Al Hasan add all-round strength. Piyush Chawla, Traveen Mathew, Dilshan Madushanka and Lizaad Williams complete the bowling.
Dew could arrive in the second innings and help the chasing team, so the captain winning the toss may choose to bowl. A first-innings score of 175 or more should be competitive and 185 or more may be too many to chase. We back Galle Marvels to win.
