The 2026 Pakistan Super League final pairs the dominant league side, Peshawar Zalmi, with debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen, who have turned a poor start into a title challenge.
Babar Azam’s Zalmi won eight of their ten league games, lost one and had one abandoned, finishing comfortably first. They then swept aside Islamabad United by 70 runs in the Qualifier in Karachi to reach the final directly.
The Kingsmen lost their first four matches, then won seven of the next eight to finish fourth. They defeated Multan Sultans in Eliminator 1 and beat Islamabad United again in Eliminator 2 to get here.
The sides have already played once this season at the National Stadium, where Peshawar successfully chased a modest 146 off the last ball for a four-wicket win. With both likely to name unchanged line-ups, the contest should come down to the powerplay and the final five overs.
