Trichy Grand Cholas take on Chepauk Super Gillies in the 26th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The match starts at 7:30 pm local time on Friday under lights.
Trichy are led by wicketkeeper-batter Jayaraman Suresh Kumar and have a likely XI featuring S Shyam Sundar, Sanjay Yadav, Jafar Jamal and Jagatheesan Kousik, with Antony Dhas, V Athisayaraj Davidson and K Easwaran in the bowling group. Chepauk Super Gillies are captained by Narayan Jagadeesan, who keeps wicket. Their batting options include RS Mokit Hariharan, K Aashiq and Swapnil Singh, while Abhishek Tanwar and M Silambarasan are among the bowlers.
Conditions will shape the game. The pitch can slow down as the innings goes on, which brings spin into play, and humid evening air could produce dew in the second innings. That would make the ball skid on and trim the effect of the slower bowlers. Our preview expects a first-innings score of 160–175 and a close contest, with Chepauk Super Gillies marginally ahead.
