Bangladesh begin their tour of South Africa with the first Test at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg from 15 to 19 November. It is the first of two Tests on the trip, and the series counts towards the 2025-27 World Test Championship cycle, which gives both sides points to play for from the opening day.
How the tour is structured
The Tests come first: the second is at Centurion Park from 23 to 27 November. The tour then moves to white-ball cricket, with three ODIs in East London, Gqeberha and Cape Town from 1 to 7 December, and three T20Is in Kimberley, Benoni and Centurion between 10 and 13 December. Cricket South Africa confirmed the fixtures in February as part of its 2026 home season.
The venue
The Wanderers is the setting for the opening Test. The tour page gives no pitch information and no start time for the Test, so we have not described conditions, and we will add a pitch report once one is available.
Squads
Neither side had named a squad in the sources we checked, and no captains or coaches are listed. The two teams have a history of tours in South Africa, including Bangladesh visits in 2002-03, 2008-09, 2017-18 and 2021-22, but the sources give no results for them, so we cannot offer a head-to-head record here.
Why we have no prediction yet
A prediction needs squads, conditions and recent form, and none of those were available when this preview was prepared. It will be updated when the squads are named, and the verdict section will be added then.
