Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad meet at Eden Gardens on Thursday, 2 April, in the sixth match of IPL 2026. The match starts at 7:30 pm local time.
Kolkata’s squad includes Ajinkya Rahane, Rinku Singh, Sunil Narine, Cameron Green, Finn Allen, Rovman Powell and Angkrish Raghuvanshi, with Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana and Matheesha Pathirana in the attack. Sunrisers are captained by Pat Cummins in the squad list and feature Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, Abhishek Sharma, Liam Livingstone and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
The quick outfield and good bounce at Eden Gardens reward stroke play, and the powerplay is the best time to score heavily. Spinners can get some grip in the middle overs, while dew should favour the chasing team, so bowling first is the likely plan after winning the toss. Our preview picks Kolkata Knight Riders.
