Guyana Amazon Warriors play Perth Scorchers XI in the 10th match of the Global Super League 2026, under lights at Providence Stadium on Wednesday 29 July. The first ball is due at 7:00 pm local time.
The home side are captained by Imran Tahir and boast a strong batting group: Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Quentin Sampson, wicketkeeper Mohammad Haris, Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell. Mohammad Nabi, Gudakesh Motie, Romario Shepherd, Dwaine Pretorius and Matthew Forde give them all-round and bowling depth. Johnson Charles and Keemo Paul are also in the wider squad.
Perth Scorchers XI, captained by Ashton Turner, are expected to field Andre Fletcher, D’Arcy Short, Joel Curtis and Usman Khan in the batting order, with Ashton Agar, Akeal Hosein, Jhye Richardson, Brody Couch and Sufyan Moqim handling the bowling.
The slow surface suits the Warriors’ spin options and local knowledge, and we expect them to prevail. With dew likely later, bowling first may be tempting for the captain who wins the toss, although a total above 165 would be a strong one to chase.
