Desert Vipers and Perth Scorchers XI open the evening at Providence Stadium in the eighth match of the Global Super League. The fixture is on Tuesday 28 July 2026, with the first ball scheduled for 7:00 pm local time.
The Vipers are led by Shadab Khan and have plenty of power in the likely XI, with Rilee Rossouw, Kyle Mayers and Bevon Jacobs among the batters and Vriitya Aravind keeping wicket. Khary Pierre and Vitel Lawes head the bowling options, alongside the all-round support of Nathan Smith. The wider squad also includes Kyle Jamieson, Chris Green and Matiullah Khan.
Perth Scorchers XI are captained by Ashton Turner. Their probable batting order features Andre Fletcher, D’Arcy Short, Joel Curtis and Usman Khan, while Ashton Agar, Akeal Hosein, Jhye Richardson and Sufyan Moqim give the attack variety. Mark Chapman and Aaron Hardie are among the reserves.
With the surface expected to slow down and grip, the side that handles the middle overs better should have the edge. We expect Desert Vipers to do that, and the captain winning the toss is likely to bowl first to make use of the expected dew.
