Galle Marvels take on Kandy Falcons in the 16th match of the Lanka Premier League 2026, played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday 29 July. The game starts at 3:00 pm local time.
Galle are captained by Dasun Shanaka, with Nurul Hasan keeping wicket. The probable batting group of Sam Harper, Dinura Kalupahana, Charith Asalanka and Sahan Arachchige is supported by the all-round options of Chamika Karunaratne and Mohammad Nawaz. Tharindu Ratnayake, Akif Javed and Sachindu Colombage complete the attack.
Kandy Falcons are led by Wanindu Hasaranga, and their likely XI has a recognisable core in Kusal Perera, Moeen Ali, Vijay Shankar and Dale Phillips. Shaheen Afridi, Nuwan Thushara and Asitha Fernando form the pace unit, with Hasaranga and Dushan Hemantha available for the middle overs.
Conditions look mixed, with early help for the new ball and a fast outfield for the batters. A side that takes its chances in the powerplay and controls the middle phase should come out on top, and we think that will be Galle Marvels.
