Both Sylhet Titans and Noakhali Express are looking for a first win in the 2025-26 Bangladesh Premier League when they meet in the fourth match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, 27 December.
Sylhet lost their opener to Rajshahi Warriors by eight wickets, despite a respectable total of 190-5. Parvez Hossain Emon remained unbeaten on 65 from 33 balls, Rony Talukdar made 41 from 34 and Afif Hossain added 33 from 19. Talukdar scored 286 runs in 11 innings last season at a strike rate of 132.40, and captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz made 355 runs and took 13 wickets. The bowlers, led by Mohammad Amir with support from Ruyel Miah, Ethan Brookes and Nasum Ahmed, need to improve.
Noakhali Express lost to Chattogram Royals in their first game as a BPL side. Opener Maaz Sadaqat averages 42 with five fifties, and Habibur Rahman Sohan, Sabbir Hossain, Shykat Ali and Jaker Ali are expected to support him. Hasan Mahmud leads the pace attack alongside Mehedi Hasan Rana, with Zahir Khan’s four overs a potential source of key wickets.
With a balanced surface, our preview expects totals of around 155 to 170 and an important Powerplay for both bowling groups.
