Royal Champs and Aspin Stallions, two sides struggling for results, meet in the 22nd match of the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10. Royal Champs have lost all four games and need wins to stay in the tournament, while Aspin Stallions have won two and lost three of their five matches.
Royal Champs’ batting still looks dangerous. Jason Roy has 96 runs from four matches at a strike rate of 163, and Brandon McMullen has scored 115 runs in four innings at 174.24. Aaron Jones, Niroshan Dickwella and Shakib Al Hasan add stability. Rishi Dhawan and Haider Razzaq have eight wickets between them, Chris Jordan and Daniel Sams have two each, and Liam Dawson’s left-arm spin is another option on slower surfaces.
For Aspin Stallions, Rahmanullah Gurbaz has made 124 runs in five games at a strike rate of 214, with Andre Fletcher and Avishka Fernando both passing 70 runs. Sam Billings and Ben Cutting provide late hitting. Zohair Iqbal has nine wickets despite an economy of 12, supported by Binura Fernando, Hafeez ur Rehman and Tymal Mills.
An 8:00 pm start may help bowlers a little. If the ball grips and dew arrives, anything above 110 could be hard to chase, so wicket preservation will be vital for the side batting second.
