Two in-form sides meet at Emirates Old Trafford on Friday 31 July when Manchester Super Giants Women host Trent Rockets Women in the 14th match of The Hundred Women’s Competition 2026. The game begins at 3:00 pm local time.
The Super Giants, previously known as Manchester Originals, are unbeaten and second in the standings with 10 points from three matches: two wins and one game lost to rain. Rockets are third on eight points after beating Birmingham Phoenix Women and Welsh Fire Women, with a defeat to London Spirit Women in between.
Manchester’s likely XI is built around Meg Lanning, who captains, with Smriti Mandhana, Grace Scrivens, Paige Scholfield and wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh in the batting. Sophie Ecclestone, Mady Villiers, Kathryn Bryce and Grace Ballinger make up the bowling. Trent are captained by Ashleigh Gardner and feature Beth Mooney, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Sophia Dunkley and Sophie Luff, with Kim Garth, Charley Phillips and Samantha Bates among the bowlers.
Dry, mild conditions and a balanced pitch should give both attacks a chance, and we expect the unbeaten home side to edge a close contest.
