Birmingham Phoenix take on MI London at Edgbaston on Wednesday 12 August in the 32nd match of The Hundred Men’s Competition 2026, with a 6:30 pm local start in hot, dry conditions.
The Phoenix’s likely XI includes Mitchell Owen, Joe Clarke, Joe Weatherley, Laurie Evans and Sean Dickson, with Donovan Ferreira captaining from the middle order. Jordan Thompson and Rehan Ahmed give all-round options, while Tom Helm, Saqib Mahmood and Usman Tariq lead the bowling.
MI London are likely to field Will Jacks, James Vince, Nicholas Pooran, captain Sam Curran, Sherfane Rutherford, Ollie Pope and Sikandar Raza. Their bowlers include Tom Curran, Trent Boult, Richard Gleeson and Nathan Sowter.
Good bounce and a fast outfield should encourage attacking batting, with a chance of early seam movement in the powerplay. Wickets in hand will matter for a late surge, and we expect MI London to edge it.
