Delhi Capitals Women lost their opener heavily while chasing against Mumbai Indians, but their batting looked better in the second game. Lizelle Lee made 86 off 54 balls, and Laura Wolvaardt hit 77 off 38 at number three. Shafali Verma is still searching for form, with Jemimah Rodrigues and Marizanne Kapp lower down.
Bowling is the concern, as Delhi have gone for 190 or more in both matches when defending. Kapp, Chinelle Henry and Nandani Sharma have been the wicket-takers, while Sneh Rana and Shree Charani have been expensive.
UP Warriorz Women also lost their first game, falling a little short chasing, with Phoebe Litchfield making 78 off 40. Batting first against RCB Women they managed only 143/5. Meg Lanning and Harleen Deol were out by the eighth over with 39 on the board, and the side slid from 50-2 to 50-5 with three wickets in three balls. Kiran Navgire, Deepti Sharma and Deol must score, and Deandra Dottin looked in touch. Sophie Ecclestone, Deepti and Shikha Pandey lead a bowling group that can still hurt Delhi.
