Ishan Kishan’s 70 Wins It for SRH at Chepauk, Then He Teases the Crowd

Ishan Kishan made 70 off 47 balls, with seven fours and three sixes, to guide Sunrisers Hyderabad to a chase of 181 against Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk. SRH finished in 19 overs, six balls to spare, and ended CSK’s dominance at their home ground.

The partnership that decided it

The key moment was a 75-run stand from only 41 balls between Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen. It shifted the momentum entirely towards the visitors, and the hosts struggled to recover.

Playful exchange with the crowd

After the win, Kishan was seen in a good-natured but lively exchange with parts of the CSK crowd. He made a whistle gesture and pointed at the ground to indicate SRH’s control of the venue, then acknowledged the supporters and shouted “Come on, SRH!”

Kishan’s view of the pitch

Named Player of the Match, Kishan said the Chepauk surface was tough, particularly against spin and slower balls. His plan was to stay in and take the innings deep, believing that batting for a long time was the way to succeed there.

He also spoke about self-belief under pressure, saying he kept things simple and concentrated on batting through to the end. That composure helped SRH complete a memorable chase and underlined their playoff qualification.
