Gulf Giants and Sharjah Warriorz meet in the 10th match of the International League T20 2025-26 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, 10 December.
Moeen Ali’s Giants are still smarting from a Super Over defeat to Desert Vipers in which, despite a big total, the bowlers could not finish the job. Their batting is in strong form. Pathum Nissanka has been the leading performer and opens with Rahmanullah Gurbaz, James Vince has been consistent, and Moeen, Azmatullah Omarzai, Tom Moores and Gerhard Erasmus add firepower. Mark Adair and Nuwan Thushara are expected to lead in the powerplay, with Omarzai and Haider Razzaq slowing things in the middle overs and Moeen and Liam Dawson completing the attack.
Tim Southee’s Warriorz have lost both of their opening games, the latest by four runs to MI Emirates after being in a strong position. Tom Kohler-Cadmore looked solid last time and opens with Johnson Charles, Sikandar Raza is the key middle-order player alongside Shubham Ranjane and Tim David, and Dwaine Pretorius and Dinesh Karthik provide late power. The bowling needs work: Maheesh Theekshana was expensive with the new ball, and Southee, Raza, Adil Rashid and Junaid Siddique will need to support him better.
Dubai evenings can bring dew, which helps chasing sides. On recent form we lean towards the Giants.
