Dubai Capitals face Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the 7th match of the International League T20 2025-26 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, 7 December.
The Capitals, the defending champions, are under pressure with two defeats and no points. Their batting failed again in a four-wicket loss to Gulf Giants. Shayan Jahangir and Sediqullah Atal need to set the tone, David Willey at No. 3 needs to score faster, and Gulbadin Naib and Jordan Cox must build partnerships. Dasun Shanaka, Rovman Powell and James Neesham are the finishers. With the ball, Willey and Mustafizur Rahman share the new ball, Haider Ali impressed last time and will operate in the middle overs with Neesham, and Shanaka, Muhammad Jawadullah and Waqar Salamkheil will back them up.
The Knight Riders, led by Sunil Narine, suffered a collapse in their previous game, losing by two wickets to Desert Vipers after seeming to have control. Alex Hales and Phil Salt can set a fast pace at the top, Alishan Sharafu, Liam Livingstone and Sherfane Rutherford give strength in the middle, and Andre Russell, Unmukt Chand and Narine can score quickly lower down. Ajay Kumar took early wickets last time and shares the new ball with Olly Stone, while Piyush Chawla and Russell are also options.
Teams batting first can aim for 170 to 180 here, and on form we lean towards the Knight Riders.
