Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire meet in the 101st match of the T20 Blast 2026 season, with play set to begin at midday local time on 12 July. Two of the competition’s better-known sides are involved, and both have batters capable of ending an innings early in the powerplay.
Yorkshire’s expected line-up is built around Adam Lyth and Jonny Bairstow, who combines the wicketkeeping and captaincy roles, with William Luxton, Sam Whiteman and Moeen Ali in the middle order. The bowling options include Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Andrew Tye, the leg-spinner Jafer Chohan and Daniel Moriarty.
Nottinghamshire are expected to be led by David Willey, with a squad that mixes batting power and seam-bowling depth. Their confirmed team sheet is not yet known, so we have not listed a probable XI for either side.
On balance our preview favours Nottinghamshire to take the points. Yorkshire are expected to win the toss, and a decision to bat first fits the early start, when conditions are unlikely to change much between innings.
