Surrey and Middlesex meet at the Kennington Oval on 3 June in the 36th match of the 2026 T20 Blast. It is a London derby, and the conditions point towards a competitive, fairly high-scoring evening.
Surrey have a long and powerful batting line-up. Jason Roy and Will Jacks are expected to open, with Ollie Pope, captain Sam Curran, Dan Lawrence and Laurie Evans following. Tom Curran, Jordan Clark and Sean Abbott add depth, and the attack is led by Reece Topley with Yousef Majid’s spin in support.
Middlesex, captained by Leus du Plooy, are built around Adam Rossington and Max Holden at the top, with Ryan Higgins, Joshua De Caires and Luke Hollman in the middle order. Zafar Gohar, Eathan Bosch, Tom Helm and Noah Cornwell make up the bowling group. On a surface that tends to be good for batting, a quick start in the powerplay and a strong finish could decide the match. A little dew under the lights may slightly help the side chasing.
